I think the money and the future would be UCF, USF, Cinn., Houston.

More national eyes are on BYU and Boise St games than any other team on the list of candidates. We don't have to like it, but they are. BYU is a storied program with a national following. Boise has a longer history of playing and beating the "big boys". If we're talking about making a splash and adding known commodities to your football league, then these 2 are top targets. We can look through black and gold colored glasses all we want and keep pointing to our Fiesta Bowl win over Baylor, but Boise did it first years earlier. And they beat Oklahoma, not Baylor.

Does the Big 12 want the Boise market? No. Does the BIg 12 want more eyes on their nationally televised games? Damn right they do. And the truth is, right now, Boise St is a bigger name in football than anyone else on the list besides BYU.

41–12 That was the Baylor-Oklahoma game in 2013, the year we beat Baylor, and no Oklahoma didn't have 41. So, no Boise beating Oklahoma isn't a better game than ours as you seem to imply.

True that. I'm about ready to just stop watching the Big 12 Expansion...until the ink dries... LOL.

Basically it just seems like click-bait for sport's media and blogs. Espn.com has a recent article that Oklahoma president wants BYU and Cincy, but he hasn't said so. How they speculate on that is crazy. I can only hope UCF admins are working hard to get us in there. Go Knights.

Your right. It's all just click bait. Also, I don't remeber where, but one legitimate non Florida source (actual journalist...not Twitter hack) said that Oklahoma President likes UCF as well.

In every multi-year attendance average scenario, UCF blows Houston and Cincinnati out of the water.

In almost every multi-year attendance average scenario, UCF blows Memphis out of the water. It's only close in the average over the last three years. Even in that scenario, UCF is still about 1,300 per game higher than Memphis, despite the fact that Memphis had ONE huge game vs Ole Miss that skews their average higher.

UCF beats Cincinnati in all multi-year scenarios, despite the fact they had an advantage of being in a BCS conference for six of the last nine years.

UCF’s worst year 30,065 is only 3,786 less than Houston’s BEST year at 33,851. They both happened to be the same year (2015).

Only three of Houston’s years (2010, 2011, 2015) were better than UCF’s WORST year.

Seven of the last nine years, Memphis has been below 30,000. None of their years is as good as UCF's best year.

Memphis has only had two years better than UCF’s WORST year

Jelly?

Please put this decision into perspective. There's lots of big egos and cluelessness among Big 12 administrators. Do not expect the decision to be very rational because the Big 12 has during its brief history been even more dysfunctional and self-destructive than the old Big East. It was judged certain to fold 15 years ago. Another time, Texas itself had virtually decided to join the SEC. Instead, 3 of its 5 most valuable schools bailed.

At least they've stopped discussing small-market Boise St. and Colorado St., so that bodes well for their mental health.
