Agree. We could get a better old retread (like GOL) who won't leave the program for a better job. Hire a 55-60 year old coach with championship experience every 10 years or so.

But do you want to risk one recruiting violations? I'm fine with it, but an administrator is going to be a bit iffy on Butch's past.

Rather go with a Mike Sanford, who is young and has worked for a G5 and P5 team before.

We need a good recruiter that can run a clean program with an exciting offense that puts butts in the seats. That's it.

I want a former NFL QB or at least a former very good College QB that can help our QB's and hopefully recruit a top 10 QB to come here...ala Harbaugh...I think Oklahoma has a couple former QB's that are OCs now...we dont need a defensive minded coach and end up losing games 13-10.
