We should entertain more $3 million per game body bag matches. Its obvious the program has financial problems and won't be joining a lucrative conference any time soon. We could use that money to convert more of BHN stadium to a Cabana club.*
Another thing, for the GOL huggers and apologists or whoever is scared that our program will finally die when he leaves, if GOL really cares about the program, why doesnt he take a paycut to help with whatever financial problems the school is having. All he does is leverage the school by apparently giving his boy Key a buy out clause if hes not hired. Yeah talk about supporting the program.

On the free (hater) board you dont need to go that far. Just read posts from mattropolis and sc4knight defending GOL. They keep pushing the how much money we dont have narrative. Before we were invited a 1 billion dollar was on the table for TV rights. When Dr Hitt recommended Tulane be invited, the Catholic 7 took that as the decision that caused them to leave. Once the Big East fell apart, ESPN offered $126 mil per year until 2019-2020..a fraction of what UCF was hoping for when they accepted the invite.

Thats the gist of it. There's other posters that have more details.

1 billion was the offer Judy Densch shot down with USF. It was dead when WVU left for the Big 12. That was never being offered to the AAC. Sure we would love more money, but the program isn't dieing.

Last time I checked I'm just a season ticket holder. I don't know where you made it up from but I have no insight into the ucf athletics budget. Would you not agree that getting 25-30 million a year versus the 1 million or whatever we get should make a big difference on the field? Here's a hint...yes! It should . It should also put into place a whole new set of criteria used to measure your results on the field.

I'm not going to lose any sleep if GOL stays or goes. If and when we get a new coach I'll back him just the same, or rip on him with facts, and not some kind of personal crusade to pat myself on the back.

Thats it. According to some of the posters, we were banking on a big payday when we joined the Big East. It fell through.

He's not staying as head coach.

This organization has no clue. We want to pretend like we're a big deal, so we demand home and home with p5 teams. We hire a coach who apparently fits the vision of its donors to build a program. Then the coach quotes that "its not who we play but we play" while pushing for upgrades if you want to get invited to a big conference. We preach conference championships but only started caring more about beating big conference teams when Bruce Miller brings it up in the Orlando Sentinel.

I hope he doesnt stay either, but if for some reason he outsmarts the new AD and stays as coach, we need more money right? If we didnt Coach O'Leary might have been gone years ago. How much are four body bag games worth? 10 million total? At least? To him conference games matter the most and we thought we'd be receiving at least 25 mil. Well the bills need to be paid right?

Way more than you ever will.

Incorrect again. I've given over $1500 this year in donations if you must know
and i will continue to do so. Nobody is asking you who complain about EVERYTHING to give a penny, but don't tell me how to spend my money when you don't give a penny yourself.
