But all the cheering was from our fans at the FIU game. I'm already looking forward to the I-4 game next month. There's even a small chance it could be for the division championship and rights to play for the conference title? USF rightfully should be favored in that game by two TDs.
It's so bad that it is reflecting poorly on the whole conference. Even factoring in for the Hurricane. There weren't 20,000 people who canceled their trip to the game in Tampa due to Matthew. I just saw some ECU fans at the beach in the TB area. USF should shut the program down now in disgrace.
Saturday, October 08 Raymond James Stadium reported the attendance to be "Attendance: 30,397" That means 13,812 were packed in the pirate ship and not seen on TV. 
I'm not sure how they are manipulating the data , but I am sure that there were not 16K butts in the seat at that game. #SFloridaExposed

Attendance nowadays only counts tickets sold (or even worse, perhaps tickets distributed, even if free?). The Television broadcast tells the story and the place looked empty against ECU. During the Florida State game everything was red and it wasn't the seats.
That's basically in line with most of their games last year, which was their best season in 5 years.

They take the attendance inflating to an entirely different level. The league needs to have two metrics: tickets redeemed and tickets 'distributed'

A little demographics: Orlando is much younger than the coastal cities because Orlando residents move here to work jobs. Tampa, St. Pete, Sarasota, etc. residents are heavily the elderly or seniors or retired or decrepit. There's the old, the very old, and the recently deceased. You want to see beautiful people, go to Orlando or Miami.

In 1988, we put 30,000+ in the seats as a Div 2 team against Troy State.

Look at those stadium pics (any of them) and point one out that shows the stadium more than 25% full. That's what 16K fans looks like. I see more like 10%, and that's being generous. Allow for a few more taking a leak or whatever puts you around 8K butts in the seats.
