Ice cold. According to his contract If UCF fires him they owe him 75% of what is left, and his contract was cheap. He’s easily got until the end of 2023 before his seat gets hot, unless there is a complete program meltdown.

Let’s see him work with a QB who has at least a bit of “it” first. He lost a high-caliber QB last season and had to roll with a true freshman. It was a good season, all things considered. Plumlee is a stop-gap measure. Gus does need to find a QB and we need to see what we look like after that. That’s the biggest weight sitting on his shoulders.

Agree. Also, look at how long it’s taken Harbaugh (7 years) and Kelly (10 years?) to get their teams to the point where they could legitimately compete with anyone. People will flash but the enduring success takes time.
