Not surprising. What a President says has far-reaching effects, whatever the topic. That's why it matters what a President says, even if no legislation is ever passed.
That's why it matters if we have a President who runs his mouth (or his Twitter account) without understanding the issues, or the power of a President's words.

How was the number calculated? I know they didn't count people as they went over so this is an estimate. Did the assumptions that create the estimate change? Just wondering whether the change was based on reality or not. People fiddle with data to get the answer they want, just like the unemployment rate.
I understand the logic that Trump means less opportunity so they don't try to cross. But it's not like Obama rolled out the welcome mat, he deported more than any other president. If it truly is a 40% drop, I think that shows public policy will have a greater effect than an actual wall.

We need as many Mexicans in this country as possible to combat the 50 million muslims who will be in the us in the coming years.
