One of my friends from California went to the game with us on Friday night and yesterday he had a phone conversation with a friend who lives in FL and then wrote our tailgate group this email about that conversation:

Guys,

My friend Therman, was a D II All American basketball
player who finished 2nd in the nation in rebounding to Dennis Rodman
his senior year. Ray Perkins had him in to tryout with the Bucs after
college and told him if he got into a weight room they would sign him
the next season. His wife was an All American Softball player.

They have two sons who will be recruited by UCF and everybody else in
a few years. They are the kids who all the parent's hate because they
score 5 or 6 TD's at every Pop Warner game they play.

His oldest, JT is 12 and was recently invited to Duke for an elite
scholar/athlete conference (yes he's 12).

He called me today and said they all watched the game last night on TV
and they were blown away by the environment at UCF.

He said there was no comparison to games like Purdue and North
Carolina that were on TV today and he just didn't realize how well
they draw.

If that momentum can continue with those types of parents with those
kind of talented kids -- this momentum can continue for years.
