Yeah there are a lack of TV games for now and yes, Furman is on our schedule, but upon checking out our SOS, this year's schedule really seems like it could be quite challenging, with UCF playing at least 3 possible Top 25 teams.

Stanford - most of the major early unofficial polls (SI, ESPN, Athlon, Fox Sports) have Sanford in their Top 20. After their first game vs. Northwestern, we'll certainly be facing a Top 20 team.

South Carolina - while they won't likely be ranked in the preseason Top 25 at the beginning of the season, they face three very beatable teams in UNC, Kentucky and Georgia. Win those and we've got our second Top 25 match up.

AAC - East Carolina, Houston & Cincy - whether it be in the AAC or CUSA, every year it seems we face a conference foe near/in the Top 25. UH's first 6 games are all winnable with their second game vs. Louisville being their biggest test. Could we face a 6 - 0 Houston team? ECU faces UF, VA Tech and BYU in their first 10 games before they meet us. If they pull off an upset, I could see an 8 - 2 ECU team in the rankings when they face us. Finally a 7 - 0 Cincy is also quite possible, hosting Miami and at BYU.

Well Im bored, rambling and want to talk some football but I think, contrary to most, this schedule is exciting and could stand to boost our SOS and get us into a big bowl if we ran the table. IF. Or at least came away with one loss.

Matter of Fact, the last 2 seasons were not easy and we barely won some games and lost 2 that we should not have.

We are just not a powerhouse SEC team. We're the leader of the American.

Yes, this year will be tough just as the last last few were.

I hope we run the table with authority....but, history shows we wont.

We were in our first year of a BCS conference playing against teams that spent two to eight years in an AQ conference with that talent. Remember the year before we lost to a 5-7 Mizzou team. If we still had the CUSA tag and we played some of those losing teams that happened to be in our conference as an OOC instead, we have better chance of losing for that very same head scratching reason. Give us a little more credit.

I believe 2016 season is going to be a big year for us and a good year to schedule
more TV games.

The schedule for 2015 is fine for this year as we solidify some positions on our team.
This year I'm expecting to see a 8-4 or 9-3 team.

2016, I'd hope we have a good shot at going 10-2 or 11-1 and getting into a good bowl game.

ECU loses their offense, have no defense, so I think we'll have to wait to see how they replace QB and WR. I have no idea how good their back-ups are.

I can't make any judgments based upon our AAC competition.
Our league isn't that good.

Just have to look at what we have on our side :)

LOL You guys make it sound like 2012 and 2013 were terrible seasons. I recall those years a bit differently.

Really?

2014 Home AAC Games:

SMU (1-11)
TULANE (3-9)
TULSA (3-9)
TEMPLE (6-6)
Div I-AA Game
BYU (8-5)

2015 Home AAC Games:
USF ('nuff said)
HOUSTON (last 2 games have gone down to basically the final play)
ECU (HAIL!)
UCONN (Can you say revenge?)
Div I-AA
FIU

Hard to get 3 better home conf games then the above...plus even UCONN game will have some meaning.

Maybe next time...check to see what conf/division is in before you rip on the home schedule.

KL, you must be a salesman or politician. You can spin anything and can sell ice to an eskimo.

USF is horrible. The Houston games were close because we played down to our competition. ECU is rebuilding, UConn (see Houston), Div I-AA & FIU ('nuff said). Probably the worst home schedule in UCF history. We are seriously going to need lots of gimmicks to sell tickets this year. Hopefully, they bring back the Patch. Ladies loved the Patch.

I don't really worry about the conference schedule so much. We pretty much already knew who we were going to play. That is kind of set in stone. Furman and FIU...yeah...BIG TIME! Good thing I'm going on the road to Stanford (already been to Couth Carolina). I may go to the Tulane game as well...New Orleans is a fun place to go for a long weekend.

funny how you post win loss records in 14 and dont in 15...they dont help your point so you leave it out.

Its not rocket science:

2014 results are known....2015 are not.

Plus, didn't take a donkey to remember some in this very thread ripping out 2014 schedule...yet, on paper, 2015 looks much better. ("on paper"...but even an 0-11 USF would be a fun game...much better than any AAC Conf home game last year).

You are really dumb. Too much pot me thinks.

Thank you firm,

People just forget that we barely beat some of these bad or mediocre teams last year.(Tulane)

I hope we whoop them with authority but we have not. Even from 2013 with JJ and Blake games were close (many times).
