Jeff Scott out at USF

That job won't even be in the Top 10 of desirable jobs when the season ends. They will either get a failed retread or an assistant/OC with no head coaching experience....same as their last 2 coaches.
I mean is there other options? Heupel, Frost, and technically GOL and Malzahn fall under one of those categories. You can get into semantics, but no one was reaching to GOL after his issues, and Malzahn was fired whether people think it was legitimate or not.

Of course there are other options for good jobs, not for usf.

1. Promote a coordinator from within
2. Get a successful head coach with experience (Gus, GOL)
3. Get an up and comer with head coaching experience....Tulsa board wants to see their guy fired and the name mentioned most often is GJ Kinne....ring a bell?
4. Get someone from the Saban school of rehabilitation

Pretty good record.

"Anderson compiled a 40-17 record in six years at the helm. His Cougar teams went 9-3, 7-4, 8-4, 8-3 and 8-3 with two playoff appearances. USF extended its streak of consecutive winning seasons to 28 under Anderson’s watch, and he went 4-1 in Key to the City games against rival Augustana."
