During the AAC Championship they made it a point to show the AAC POW6R banner that was hanging up in Navy's stadium and showed the graphic you mentioned.....
Maybe one day they will make the AAC a P6 conference and take the playoffs to 8 teams with the 6 champions and 2 at-large teams in the bracket.

Well we beat their conference champ in 2013. Their conference champ this year lost to the 5th place AAC team.
The word "Power" doesn't reference what happens on the field. Their true power is to control the money of college football. Now, that does have a large effect on what you see on the field.
If AAC wants to in the P6, all they have to do is sell out stadiums, sell merchandise, donate money and tune in to TV broadcasts. UCF has enough alumni to make it happen for us. Unfortunately, not enough UCF alumni care.
Even a lot of "the die-hards" on here aren't truly hardcore - you see how many people talk about not attending if we have a game at the Citrus Bowl, or if we play in Miami Beach or St. Pete. Or they won't buy their Bowl or away tickets through UCF because they can get better seats/pay less/Etc. Yada, yada, yada. That's all a valid prerogative in a free market. People should spend their money and time how they see fit. However, that's what it would take for the AAC to become P6. If people truly want that they can make it happen.
In short, BREAK DOWN THE DOOR, DON'T ASK IF YOU CAN COME IN.
P.S. Before everyone who has a valid excuse chimes in with why they can't buy tickets/attend games/make higher donations, I didn't mean you. You're awesome. It's everyone else that sucks.

The AAC should just put the line "The American, the 6th power conference" in their adds. Just be annoying about it till it's finally widely acknowledged. First demand it, second show it on the field, then finally get accepted.
