Why the Knights can successfully defend the title?
1) Schedule;
2) Competition - for example 3 Bishop Moore OL recruits/transfers putting pressure on starters (also see size of Jackson and athleticism);
3) Red Shirts - many red shirts and others who were true freshmen starters in 2-deep this year;
4) DL will be better (especially DEs with some injured, some better, some new);
5) Seniors returning (like kicker and punter and middle LB);
6) KZ - dialed in for even better season with even more weapons and offense that maximizes his play. He really grew last season. Don't think he's done growing.

I really have a hard time believing #4. We are losing a lot of experience up there.

Yeah DL is wait and see. Even if you believe on paper it will be better, we don’t know. Losing 2 of the starting 3 is hard to replace. The transfer from Oregon has concussion issues. He could miss multiple games from 1 hit.
