I was watching Bay News 9 over here in Clearwater last night and the sports segment (Spectrum Sports 360, I think it's called) featured two football players from Clearwater High School. One of them, Ti'Lan McGee was wearing a UCF t-shirt throughout the segment (searching indicates that he may have attended a June camp at UCF). I looked him up on Rivals. He doesn't have a star-rating and he only has offers from a handful of lower level FBS schools (e.g., Charlotte, Liberty, UMASS, MTSU and usf). It was nice to see Tampa Bay's hometown team so prominently displayed on local news over here.
The best part though, was the interview with Clearwater High School's head football coach during the segment with the two players. Coach Thor Jozwiak was an offensive lineman for usf from 2011-2015.
