Kremlin used mouth-breathing 70IQ NRA members to fund Trump campaign says GOP led Senate Intel Cmte

LOL. I'm guessing ninja called you obsessive. He says that to everyone.

Well, when you talk about me constantly like you are doing now, and even start threads solely about me...it does look a little obsessive.

Still waiting BT

Back to the original topic:

If this is true, the NRA has a serious problem on their hands. My first question is how will they delineate the money that came from Russia and the money that comes from other sources, and determine that specific funds went towards the election? I'm assuming most of the big players in elections receive some levels of income from foreign countries. Are they all subject to the same scrutiny?

why would the nra take money from a foreign country? that just sounds odd to begin with.

lol I take it you've never been an NRA member. They absolutely bombard the shit out of you begging for money, I'm pretty sure they don't care where it comes from based on the volume of mail I received all asking for cash.

why would the nra take money from a foreign country? that just sounds odd to begin with.

It's a business with interests like any other business. If they can take money from a customer or benefactor and move their agenda forward it isn't unreasonable to expect them to.

Why would the Clinton foundation take money from countries that oppress women? Whoops, that may be a bad example.

This is one of the biggest lies ever perpetrated on this site , and that’s saying something

It's been over a day now, still nothing from BT since you spouted this 100% lie. Guess you are content to be a hypocrite, but I'll ask again for the 3rd time.

Fake news.

Well, it turns out this a simple hit piece as part of the TDS smear campaign. It talks about the "senate judiciary committee's report", well it wasn't a senate judiciary committee, it turns out it was the Democrat members of the senate judiciary committee simply publishing a memo to start an investigation by FEC.

Further investigation shows that there were 2 NRA members, ex-pats living in Russia that donated a total of $525. The rest of the "donations" were simply membership dues from about 2 dozen Americans living in Russia and also members of the NRA.

My article still stands. Intel received led the Senate Intel Committee to believe that Russia donated more than the NRA is reporting. The month old articles fab linked are NRA self reporting of donors that are Russian individuals. The Kremlin used American subsidiaries to payoff Michael Cohen they are doing the same thing here at a larger scale.

Fuk this is literally just pathetic.

Fab links a 1+ month old article and flat out lies in his description of the article, and every red hat moron on here is breaking their arms patting each other on the back about how they "schooled that lib!"

You all are absolutely 100% blind to any facts that might possibly suggest Trump isn't your god-emperor savior, and have proven you are willing to lie to advance this agenda. This is legit terrifying.

and you refuse to accept the fact that Trump isn’t an evil Russian operative . That’s also legit terrifying

Absolutely 100% another lie from BT. I have never said anything remotely close to that. In fact when this first started I thought it was extremely unlikely. I am willing to consider all available evidence (which is rapidly mounting however). But I am a very firm believer in the phrase "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence" and this is a very extraordinary claim.

I do think Trump is a terrible human being and an even worse leader (actually I don't think this, I know it from observation), and clearly was only elected thanks to simple minded people obsessed with ignorant tribal beliefs. But I do not yet think he is a controlled by the russians. At best I think they might have compromising information on him given his boisterous nature and stupidity which would give them leverage over him.

Don't you find it strange that the Daily beast article that FC linked to didn't even source the Bloomberg article that came a month earlier? The Senate statement came out after months of investigation, so the date stamp on it is hardly the measure of "new" information. This issue in the statement regarding the NRA was addressed a month ago in other media outlets, hence the articles that fab linked to.

Maybe because the two aren't related?

Well he has a point in stating that the articles fab linked are a month old, but there is context there that changes things.

It looks to me like new information about the possible NRA/Russia connection, since the very first line of article linked by FC says "The Senate Judiciary Committee said Wednesday that the Russian government apparently used the National Rifle Association to help Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016" and then links to the actual Senate Judiciary Committee report that was released Wednesday

So thats another thing Fab was either lying about or got completely wrong, by linking his month old article and then having our resident einstein's crow about how he completely schooled FC. I honestly don't know if it's ignorance or dishonesty from him at this point, probably both.

The statement was released Wednesday. The information within is up to several months old, including the NRA investigation.

Well sure, but it has a lot more information than just that, including details about Trump Jr's willingness to accept russian assistance in the election. Regardless there was a ton of information in there not contained in Fab's articles, which he incorrectly summarized (either out of dishonesty or ignorance).

The thread is about the NRA. Yes, there is other stuff in there, but even regarding Trump JR meeting with the Russians is stuff we already knew. The only thing that stood out to me as new was the reference to wikileaks

Ummmm...Clinton Foundation?
You're in the wrong thread. Hillary Clinton threads are down about 2 years on page 180.
Just wanted to point out some hypocrisy...I didn't see you bitching 2 years ago on page 180.
You utterly missed @fabknight's bigger point @fried-chicken.

They didn't appoint a special prosecutor for that. So if they start going after Trump for the same thing, they more and more Americans are either going to A) call for Mueller to stop, or B) call for a special prosecutor to be appointed to investigate Clinton.

The main reason one hasn't has been because most Republicans know where this is going to lead to, so they haven't joined the minority of Republicans asking for such, and agreed with the Democrats in Congress. But if they start going after Trump on things Clinton never had to answer for, "A" or "B" will happen.

why would the nra take money from a foreign country? that just sounds odd to begin with.
Sounds like it was funneled from sources and the officers responsible for donations didn't know. It's seemingly was coming through smaller access points, where people will take donations and don't ask questions.

This is why if the US Media and Democratic party start opening the door on this, it could really backfire for them. It will no longer be about 'conflicts-of-interest' in not only the Clinton Foundation, but the greater Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) that quickly and massively reduced it's operations in 2016. There was a huge reason for that, including the moneyflow.

For me, being a Libertarian, I'm all for the Democrats and Republicans to start this 'shooting war' where they start destroying their foundations. So bring it on.

The only sad thing here is that the NRA will continue to be demonized as child murderers, when the US media is far, far more the culprit with the offering of global infamy for shooters.

FC has yet again utterly embarrassed himself

He was owned so hard in this thread
Lol at thinking that @UCFBS misunderstanding the purpose of a special counsel is me being owned.

Start a special counsel on private citizen Hillary Clinton? Why on earth do the normal channels of investigation not work for Hillary?

Apparently you don't realize they don't have to be a sitting, public servant. That is just one case of their use. In fact, Hillary Clinton absolutely qualifies for a reason for one, politically.

Ex-politicians have been investigated without a special counsel before. Hillary has no power in the DOJ. Appointing a special prosecutor would be fine by me though I just want everyone to follow the law. Hillary has been investigated enough though.

It's always entertaining when UCFBS makes up bullshit about stuff he obviously has absolutely no idea about. He is the master of just typing pages of completely wrong bullshit. I guess that's why he chose the screen name BS.

UCFBS seems like an ok guy. We watched the peach bowl together and chatted throughout the game. Everyone uses this site for different things. I'm obviously sincere in my beliefs about being liberal but I also spend a lot of time chuckling to myself at my own posts. I'm serious-ish. I think the way he uses it is to engage in conversations about topics he might not get to talk about in real life. He does know a lot of shit but sometimes it's totally out of left field. He's crazy sure, but it's not dangerous crazy. It's more like he thinks when people disagree with him it's because they don't know as much as him not because they just disagree.

No I agree, that's why I said he's entertaining. He knows a lot about some things, but absolutely nothing about other things. The problem occurs when he types out manifesto length posts about the things he knows absolutely nothing about. Normal people (i.e. myself) just don't talk about things they don't know about. He feels the need to make sure everyone knows he's a complete moron on certain subjects, which I find entertaining.
