Sentinel:
Lake Howell High School has been awarded $4 million from an anonymous donor, the single largest contribution Seminole County schools has ever received, the district said Wednesday.
The school plans to use the funds for a new computer lab, a new Olympic-size swimming pool complex, artificial turf and track for the football stadium, equipment for enhancing the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) programs, as well as band and orchestra instruments.
"The contribution will offer our students an enriched Triple "A" experience - Academics, Arts, and Athletics,'' said Superintendent Walt Griffin in a news release.
