And the kiss a$$ continues for the last regime...

the spin continues. In Macro terms it wasn't a very entertaining product outside of the Bortles seasons, a .500 coach w significant resource advantages over his conference peers

^ a bit of hyperbole but that's the thought of most casual fans that have left and caused attendance to plateau or decline at BHNS the last several years

I think that is just one opinion. As an example, ask UConn fans if their 2014 title as a #7 seed wasn't exciting. It was because they won hardware. Casual fans probably tossed that team aside going into the tournament and then hopped back on the bandwagon once they got to the Elite 8. Sure, we've had a weird blend of highs and lows but from a macro level, 4 conference titles (playing for 6) in a decade would be something only few teams have accomplished. As a comparison, Ohio State has won 5 conference titles in the last decade, FSU won 4, and Oregon has won 4. If we were a P5 conference we'd be spoken of in the same discussions of greatness.
2005 wasn't exciting as a UCF fan? That team went 0fer the year before and then won 8 games and played for hardware. I would agree probably not highly entertaining for most but as a fan that was a great season. The kids played hard all year long anf fought for everything. If casual fans want an entertaining product they should go see some pop act. Football is about winning games, and more importantly hardware, and not about how you look doing it.
2007 wasn't exciting? If you watched every game that is probably the best individual sports effort you will ever see in your life wearing a UCF jersey. 2567 yds rushing....dwell on it. It's still a jaw-dropping number. If someone ever dawns a UCF jersey and has a better individual performance than 24K then in all likely I'll get struck by lightning twice sitting in my living room.
We won two of our four conference titles without Bortles being on the field so our program isn't sitting on the shoulders of one player or one season. It is our program that has seen successful and has been improving since 2004, and not because of GOL or any specific player. It's because the school committed to it. They "bought in" to us being a successful program and I'm certain we'll be back contending for hardware very soon.

To the "casual fan"....

You are either in or out. The "casual fan" is irrelevant lest you go the way of the Steers.

Personally I find winning championships and playing in bowl games very entertaining. I am sure that I would prefer perfection every year but I since I don't have ADD and don't need to be "entertained" and win championships as separate things I might be a bit skewed.

How rude to use a thread about the newest recruit to actually talk about the newest recruit. This is about whining.
