In this scripted segment, Herbstreit "hands off" to Corso, who looks down at his notes and says this:



Dude has zero clue that 3 out of the 5 P5 Commissioners have recently come out in FAVOR of expansion...and even hurts the case of a "College Football Playoff" when Corso admits its just a P5 Invitation arranged/owned by his employer.

With ESPN's profit margin DOWN over the past 2 years, I'm sure the last thing they want to do is invest in hundreds of millions of $$$ to secure expanded playoff rights either be it in 2020 (amend current deal) or after 2026 when the rights could end up on open market.

They must be doing another show on Tuesday because they didn't mention the Rose or Sugar Bowls either.

Also, to be fair to Corso, he gave this same answer when he was talking to the Media when Gameday was in Orlando. Basically his answer was the CFP should stay at 4 teams and the Big 12 should add UCF.
