I hate going all doomsday because it never seems to end up as bad as you think it will be, but you have a generation of adults graduating college that had great success silencing opposing viewpoints through the power of the mob and college governments and using violence when necessary. All while feeling fully justified that they were serving the greater good. What is going to happen when these people are in government positions?
You can tail on Trump all you want about using Twitter as a weapon against the press, but at least he did that publicly and without the power of the government behind it. Obama took the step of using FISA to prosecute journalists. Each of these things has a chilling effect on discourse and each should be a huge issue for us. But with AOC, and the next wave, I’m worried that those are going to look tame by comparison.
