Whats the chances we win our division?

I know is really early to have this talk, but no one is standing out in the East.

At this point, i have a whole new outlook on the 2016 season

I just don't see Tulane beating us next week, we play Cincinatti at home and they are playing terrible.

Houston "should" be a loss and we should show more improvement than USF by late November, so who knows.

Tulsa, Uconn away, and Temple will all be dogfights.

If we win 2 of those, we could go 5-3.

The ECU win was huge because it was a conference road game win early on.

I believe that the 2016 UCF team success will depend on the QB play winning or losing the close games.

We have a pretty good feeling about the rest of the team, but the QB play is still the biggest question mark.

I think USF is likely the team to beat, but their defense is questionable with the new coordinator allowing like 450 yards per game despite playing nobody of note outside of FSU. We have the ability to beat (or get beat by) any team in the division at this point. I don't think there is an obvious top flight team in the East like Houston is in the West.

So far this season is eerily similar to 2005, when our defense played lights out to keep us in many games, including forcing a lot of turnovers. Just like 2005 we beat ECU on the road, we played Tulane at home, we played at Houston, Tulsa at home , and at USF. We were 3-2 after five games.

Houston's not in our division, right?
USF comes at the end of the season, by which time all the Knights new starters should be working together.
But USF will need to lose a conference game for our game to have a realistic chance of being for the division.

USF deserves to be the favorite but I could see them dropping a random game to Navy or Temple before UCF plays them at the end of the season

Yes, I would say USF is the team to beat (Houston is not in our division). Their offense is really special. Flowers is an exceptional dual threat QB and their RB (Mack?) is super creative and elusive. But I agree that the USF defense looks vulnerable. Also, the UCF defense looks good enough to disrupt & slow down the USF offense.

I think UCF will need to score 35 points to beat USF, and that might be hard with Holman at the controls. But with Milton, not so much.
