This morning I watched a YouTube clip of a recent CNN interview with Liz Cheney. When I glanced through the comments made in response to it, I was blown away by the number from Democrats saying they abhor her politics but would vote for her for POTUS because -- quote after quote after quote said "she's a genuine leader with honesty and integrity."
It made me realize that if the Republican Party would take off their g'damned blinders and see what's happening in the country as a result of the January 6th hearings, they'd realize that in Liz Cheney they've got a rock-solid conservative who could not only win, but win big in 2024.
But the party's leadership have shown themselves to be such spineless idiots that I won't be the least bit surprised to see them continue chugging down the same, stupid political tracks on either the Trump and Trump-Lite Crazy Train. If they do, mark my words, they'll guar-damn-antee Biden gets reelected.
The only thing keeping Biden in office in 2024 is the fear of Trump or someone parroting him.

Florida govenor DeSantis is extremely popular among not just moderate Republicans, but Libertarians ... including myself ... especially since he was not only demonized by the US Media, but ... vindicated, repeatedly, as being one of the few governors in the US not only ahead of the pandemic, but often leading some of the most effective remedies. Florida was so much head of other states, that the federal government had to cancel some of Florida's medical contracts negotiated back when most states were still saying, "Vaccines are all you need."
And Cheney really screwed up here ...

Let me say that again, DeSantis became critical of Trump after the Electoral College voted, and immediately after January 6th. Yes, all while trying to 'balance' both moderate and Trump conservatives, and even overall moderates, but has still has come out against January 6th.
So Liz Cheney had best be aware that this 'If you ever supported Trump, you supported January 6th' doesn't stick to Ron DeSantis any more than Rand Paul or Mike Pence. And she'd be wise to stop right there with DeSantis, if not apologize. And just like DeSantis, a lot of us moderates and Libertarians have been critical of the US Media coverage, because 2/3rds of the people never entered the building, and only a small contingent was actually armed.

Sorry Dems are not voting for a conservative female. They would compare her to the Left of center Democrat and vote that way every time. The Jan 6 hearings have changed almost no ones mind, though it did solidify their mindset.
Just like with John McCain, they would build her up for the primary, knowing a lot of Republicans would sit at home for the general election, then tear her down in the general.
