Terry Mohajir is a total beta but he will be forced to fire Gus Malzone…old head is not salvageable.
if he was going to do it what is he waiting for? this bye week would have been ideal timing
i'd feel bad for him if he wasn't an arrogant fool who deliberately sabotages the most important position on the field to feed his ego. this wasn't done to gus (bad luck with injuries, etc, etc. ), he did it.
It’s irrelevant. UCF’s football season is not going to change now. What does firing him in the bye week going to accomplish?
Malzone is not going to retire and walk away from $12M. UCF is probably trying to work something out where Malzone is allowed to save face and “retire” while receiving an amount significantly less than $12M.
Boosters are either withdrawing their support or shifting their donations to basketball. Money guys will dictate the move and it will be done after the season is over.

No need to fire now. Let him step down after season to be with his wife more. Go get a job in tv and retire.
If he wins this weekend they will say 1 win away from a bowl game and a successful season. If they lose pressure is on. But i've heard Mark Daniels hinting that UCF doesn't have the 12 mill to buy out Gus and his staff while also having money to sign a new coach who could also have a buyout.
