I want to like this post but i can't. This isnt directed towards you directly, its just an observation on people in general: why would anyone expect more from someone else than what they expect of themselves? As much as I would love for everyone to act with the same kind of respect and demeanor as a guy like Lincoln or MLK, it isnt going to happen and I am certainly not going to claim that I do either. But to hold someone to a higher standard than I hold myself to would make me the worst kind of hypocrite.

I really wish that politicians could be the heroes that we all want them to be, but holy crap. We spend a few minutes a day on an anonymous internet forum and thats all it takes to get us drug down into the mud. Imagine this kind of thing being your life 24/7 with people constantly trying to destroy you. Its no wonder things are as ugly as they are in washington and in the media.

I'm just saying that here we are, all saying hurtful things towards each other who really have no effect on our lives, and yet have the audacity to say that someone else should be above us. Does any one of us here have any room to criticize someone else on how they treat someone?

I'd say it's ok to act a little different here versus the leader of the Free World in charge of the largest army ever amassed.

Well, to be fair Biden's just as big of a draft dodger as Don. Both of these big tough guys together had a total of 9 deferments from Vietnam because they had "bone spurs and asthma." Pathetic, but then to be even more objective, I probably would have done everything in my power to stay out of that pointless war, especially in hindsight.

I agree that he's alpha in the most clichéd sense possible. His chest puffing works around much weaker individuals and we know there are plenty of those in Washington. He's the type that cowers when in the presence of great men. Lucky for him hes operated in the shady realm of boardrooms and now government offices. Like Joe said, I don't get bent out of shape over it... Just roll my eyes at this point.

It really does blow my mind that people fall for his cliche false bravado shtick. It's so painfully obvious that he is compensating for having accomplished absolutely nothing, and trying so incredibly hard to cover it up. Having said what I just did about Trump, I also very much agree with this point you're making. I fully admit my own shortcomings here but it's at least something I'm aware of and I try and catch myself no matter the setting. Are my words coming from a place of love or not. It's really that simple.

There is no way that Trump would have asked for the name to be covered. His style would have been to point at the ships name and then attack McCain personally. He isnt afraid of things like that.

Google took it down from YouTube. Twitter is blocking it. At some point, 'fake news' has become too much 'censorship.' Political satire must live on.

I remember a number of politicians getting 'duped' on those, thinking they were real too. And that was back before social media! ;)
