Mayweather-Pacquiao

Too much money for that fight. No way am I paying $100 to see it.
Who watches a fight alone? Get a few buddies together and divide it up. I'm rooting for Pacquiao, but think Floyd will win. Hopefully it's a good fight. I'm not paying for it either though, going to my uncle's house.

I've never purchased a PPV before, but I'm getting this one. Oh, and I'm watching it alone. Well, with my wife. $100? Psshh, you spend that at a Bucs/Rays/Lightning game easy.

Pacquio will retire after Floyd gives him a beatdown. He's already washed up and shouldn't even be in the same ring. Seriously.

Boxing is like the Olympics nowadays: every 4-5 years you get a decent fight. Too bad the Heavyweight Division has gone the way of the dodo bird. I grew up during the days of Tyson and it was cool.

My head says that Mayweather wins in a split decision.

My degenerate gambler gut feeling would be all over the prop bet of Pac knocking Mayweather out by the end of the 8th round and breaking the internet.

Mayweather's hands haven't been the same the last few years and his power doesn't scare opponents so I think Pac will take more risks to get hit by his counter and stay inside as long as possible. Pac loves to please the fans so he will try his best to bait Mayweather into a war even at the risk of getting caught like the Marquez fight.

Olga, and Summer. The 2 fake names of the strippers at the club I like...
Also I want to say Manny, but I think Money stays aways, and wins it, But I am rooting for a Draw.. Why?
Holy Rematch Batman...

Corrie Saunders looked like he should have been hustling pool tables when he beat Klitschko. Anyhoo, he got shot dead.

One of my friends is buying it so I am headed over to his house to watch it. Don't have a clue about boxing but I am pulling for Packy since everyone I know says he is going to lose. Someone has to pull for him!

Last boxing I saw was Tyson/Holyfield. This fight means nothing to me. However, I hope Manny wins.

I watch a lot of boxing and I respect Floyd's defensive skill but it's boring as shit and kills casual interest for the Sport. Sugar Ray had a similar style but he had the balls to engage and fight. Sugar Ray, Duran>Mayweather

Canelo vs Kirkland on free HBO next Saturday will be a much more entertaining fight.

Seriously, This is the ONLY Fighter these days!
He is still raw, and learning to get better.. But He is a Perfect 32-0, with 29 wins coming by Knockout,
He is the God of War, Gennady GGG Golovkin! And his fight May 16, will be fast, and brutal..

Warning, From 1:50-2:30 is bloody...

Keith Thurman from Clearwater, Florida is another guy to watch. Grew up training w Winky Wright and dominated Guerrero in his last fight

Remember when people bitched about Tyson knocking out guys too fast? Those were the days...

I'm not sure what people were expecting from this fight. Had they not seen any of Mayweather's previous fights? He didn't get to where he is by being a brawler. Being a brawler is a recipe for getting knocked out.

Yea, but people love brawlers.
If boxing ever wants to get back, they need to get rid of the Mayweathers and Klitchkos, and bring back some Arturo Gatti and Mickey Ward fights.

Boxing needs marketable heavyweight champions to become relevant again. Watching 145 lb dudes dance around the ring isn't going to save the sport.

posted in the dungeon already, but i think boxing is all but dead now. i dont know any one of my friends that watched that fight that would be willing to watch another boxing match any time soon. if there was ever a fight that could have won back some of the casual fans to the sport, this would have been it. instead it was super boring and likely killed any good will for the sport, but at least the fighters got their pay day*

mma is where its at now.

Pretty much. I don't watch mma/ufc but it seems to be 100X more popular than boxing right now. We don't want to see boxing, we want to see two guys beat the hell out of each other.
plus, like the ufc or not, there is a governing body. for the most part they make fights people want to see. you cant duck fighting certain guys in the ufc like you can in boxing.
