Meet your potential future QB and Right Fielder

He will have a chance to try and win a spot but his baseball skills have a lot of improvement to make before cracking the lineup. They have most position guys back except for two but have major addition in Michael Brooks at 3B, who transferred from Arkansas, and was hitting in the 3 hole all fall. Outfield has Ruiz and Peña back so we will see. He has struggled both years on the diamond at Ole Miss and his bat has a long way to go. If this team can get some consistent Friday/Saturday pitching, they could win 38-40 games because they will hit enough.

Does baseball take walk ons? It’s not like he’s trying to take a baseball scholarship

Lots of players pay their own way. Most baseball players get around 30-35% scholarships. So yes, there are quite a few paying own way. Not a full scholarship sport. Just know, he hasn’t hit well at all in two years at Ole Miss and our team has some dudes on it.

nice thing is he will bring a bit of football mentality to baseball. If he can give player's an occasional day of or 1/2 of double header off, or extra bat when needed, he will be a nice add for baseball.

Let's not forget about the speed he brings to baseball.

Baseball isn’t station to station like it used to be. Not many 40/40 guys like 80s and 90s. No more Vince Coleman’s or Willy McGees getting 100 in a year. Everyone sits and waits for long ball. Obviously those stolen bases didn’t equate to wins. We need power hitters.

Baseball team doesn’t get me excited. They never get passed regionals even if they make one. Which doesn’t make sense because it’s year round in Florida.

This roster, for the first time in a while, has about 10 future draft picks. Best roster in a while. Some due to transfer and some from last year's class. But if they have healthy pitching, they will win 37-40 games in a top 5/6 conference. That will get them in regionals. And, once in you have chances in short series. Look at what USF did and their roster isn't as talented from top to bottom. They had better and more pitching depth down the stretch when it matters.

Just watched Plumlee’s highlights…he will be a massive problem, especially for the bottom half of the AAC. He has Adrian Killins speed and vision. If he can throw quick outs to sideline and screen passes he wont need to sling it too much

We will most likely see Gus use all 4 of our QBs at some point during the season / games :)
I only see 4 options at QB right now.
