Please take time today, Memorial Day, to give thanks specifically for any Americans that you know, or in general for others who have, died in combat while defending our freedoms as well as those of our allies.
I hope the true meaning of today's holiday will be shared with family and friends prior to getting on with the joy of a holiday. First things first...
Here's a historically accurate website that details two significant battles in Vietnam. The BATTLE and CAP 1-3-2 tabs are especially noteworthy.

Personal decorations, all for bravery in combat, were awarded to each of the approximately 28 Marines and two Navy corpsmen, and one Popular Forces interpreter for actions on those two nights, and included one Medal of Honor, one Navy Cross, seven Silver Stars, at least seven Bronze Stars, and at least four Navy Commendations. All Marines and the two corpsmen received personal decorations in addition to a minimum of eight Purple Hearts being awarded.
"Freedom isn't free."
God bless all surviving families.
