Hopefully this is a campaign that destroys his Air Force, his air bases, and any/all suspected chemical weapon depots

I have read we will at least have the French and British with us. Maybe the Saudis and Emiratis too.

No worries remember , nice , new and smart

If the Russians get 1 in 60 they’ll claim victory.

There’s also the fact that we are going for known military targets that they can prepare for; not dropping chemical bombs on houses as their friends in Syria do

I don’t think they will stop our missiles to speak of

They may get a few. I think they’re content to allow Assad to take a beating so long as there’s no regime change taking place.

In a year we will leave Eastern Syria and Assad will just gas the Kurds to death

For a war he does, but there are actions short of war that he can pursue.

Lol. It was a direct quote of Trump in 2013. He said we shouldn’t attack Syria because all we would get is debt. He then went on to say Obama had to get congressional approval.

It was a dumb comment then. Just as Obama was an idiot for drawing a red line then failing to do anything about it was. Russia entered Syria once seeing that America was feckless

I completely agree. I was just pointing out Joe’s sarcasm for those who couldn’t see it. I don’t agree with Trump on much but I give him credit for his willingness to use force in Syria in these situations. America still has standing in this world and we need to show you can’t use weapons of mass destruction and just get away with it.

No private citizen has ever said something and then said something different after taking office. Trump is the first, it's unprecedented.

I have no problem with him bombing the shit out of Syria. I'll be honest, I saw the videos of children choking and having a hard time breathing because of the chemicals dumped on them. If that doesn't physically bother you, then you aren't human.

No, saying some thing and then saying something different is normal. Saying many things and then saying something different is definitely a Trump and John Kerry thing.

Hopefully this strike was effective and served more purpose than to give the Russians a chance to see how their defense systems measure up.

Thank you for proving my point. Trump is the only person to ever say something before becoming president and then change his mind aftwards. It's unprecedented.

Thank you for your outstanding contribution. What on earth would we do without you.

Glad someone else realizes what low effort posts FNB constantly puts out. I've said it before he could be replaced by a bot that randomly posts "yawn" or "but Hillary!!!!" And no one would ever realize.

I sincerely hope you are right

They know they can't do anything. Economically they're screwed. Militarily they can handle no more than 1 conflict at a time so they aren't going to jump at this outside of perpetuating the proxy war. If they get heavily involved against the US in Syria they just open the door to factions in Ukraine or elsewhere in eastern Europe to start giving them fits.
