Over the next four seasons, we need opponents for 2021 (1), 2022 (1), 2023 (2), 2024 (2).

The facts:
While we have arguably the best G5 program not named UCF at home (Boise State) and we have a P5 on the road (Louisville), we still need one more game (in addition to G5 UConn). Unfortunately, 0 P5 teams have an opening for 2021.

For 2022, we fantastically have two G5 home opponents (Georgia Tech and Louisville) and one G5 road game at FIU. We still need one more game. P5 Openings: Duke, Florida State, Miami, Virginia, Kansas, Rutgers, UCLA, Washington, Florida, Notre Dame.

For 2023, we go on the road to G5 Boise State and host great G5 program BYU, but we still need two more games. P5 Openings: Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Kansas, Northwestern, UCLA, Washington, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Notre Dame.

For 2024, we go to G5 BYU and host G5 Liberty. We need two more games. Openings: Boston College, Duke, Florida State, Pittsburgh, Syracuse, Virginia, Wake Forest, Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma State, TCU, Michigan State, Nebraska, Northwestern, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, Arizona, USC, Washington, Washington State, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Tennessee, Notre Dame.

My comments:
Go get Tennessee on the 2024 schedule now! Their AD has sure talked a lot in the past about UCF getting H&H with P5s, so this negotiation should be easy. ;)

Interestingly, Arizona State travels to Texas State in 2024, the first of a H&H signed in... 2016. I found that Oklahoma State signed an 8-game H&H (4&4) with Tulsa in May 2019; that in-state series is the last P5 at G5 I happened to discover. There may be more forthcoming P5 at G5 games beyond 2024, but I only looked through 2024.

Many P5 programs simply do not schedule games "at G5" opponents, not even 2:1.
Of the P5 with 2023-2024 openings, those who have existing contracts to visit G5 from 2021-2024:
Duke (Charlotte 2021, UConn 2023),
Boston College (UMass 2021, UConn 2022, Army 2023),
Georgia Tech (UCF 2022),
Pittsburgh (Western Michigan 2022, Cincinnati 2024),
Syracuse (Ohio 2021, UConn 2022, Army 2024),
Virginia (BYU 2021),
Wake Forest (Army 2021 & 2024),
Baylor (Texas State 2021, BYU 2022, Louisiana Tech 2023),
Kansas (Coastal Carolina 2021, Houston 2022),
Oklahoma State (Boise State 2021, Tulsa 2024 [signed May 2019]),
TCU (SMU 2022 & 2024),
Michigan State (Boise State 2022),
Rutgers (Temple 2022),
Arizona (San Diego State 2022 [signed June 2014]),
UCLA (San Diego State 2023 [signed April 2017]),
Washington State (Colorado State 2023 [signed March 2018], San Diego State 2024 [signed June 2017]),
Alabama (USF 2023),
Florida (USF 2021),
South Carolina (East Carolina 2021 [signed 2016]),
Tennessee (BYU 2023).
*Notre Dame constantly plays H&H with Navy, first game in 1927, but that is a unique circumstance.
*TCU-SMU is a long-standing rivalry game, dating to 1915
*Tulsa-Oklahoma State series dates back to 1914.

Okay, Terry, let's see who you can get to complete our schedules!

I think he should hire a head football coach first.

Ideally he could get 1 or 2 of those 6 to be some kind of season kickoff games.

Don't leave out that the openings in 2021 and 2022 are for FCS teams. And FCS teams are usually scheduled much later than other OOC teams. 2021 and 2022 are full.

$50 says Heupel doesn’t make it to 2024
