Official attendance listed as 46,042. Marc Daniels mentioned during the game that about 15,000 were dressed as empty seats. They used to fill the place for games like this. ECU fans always used to trade friendly trash talk here. Must be part of the overall decline in college attendance at all but the Ohio States and Michigans. Or perhaps it's athletic department's reserving many more prime seats for wealthy and corporate ticket buyers who have no intention of showing up. That's what happened to UCF basketball ($1000 a seat sections empty on the player benches side of the court).
