You forget that the scope of his investigation is Russian interference into the 2016 election. It's not just about Trump. There was a court ruling the other day that affirmed Mueller's ability to prosecute Manafort for crimes not related to Russian collusion. The judge remarked strongly that the prosecution (and entire probe really) was a fishing expedition and that was unusual in the least, but ruled on the law in the end. The question is how long Mueller will keep fishing with nearly unlimited taxpayer money.
Mueller doesn't leak. There's no proof of that. Saying that he does is just you trying to justify limiting his power to protect your buddy from the law.
The justice department is and has always been made up of people of both political parties. It's never prevented them from doing their job before and it doesn't now. I'm sorry that your boy is a scumbag slumlord money laundering criminal but thems the breaks.
