The USMC has dealt with this. They had several enlisted women qualify for combat, but no officers. For those that don't know, the USMC requires officers to best scores of enlisted personnel, part of the reason their officer corps is very respected by their enlisted. The USMC decided it was not ideal to have female combat marines without female combat officers. I don't blame them.

But the HuffPost has their agenda.
