I missed this at the end of June, but the NCAA passed a blanket waiver for this 2023-24 season that allows players to play in postseason football games without counting towards their 4 games that would define a season of eligibility. In other words, had this rule been in place last year, Mikey Keene could have played in the CCG and still preserved his redshirt.

Other waivers passed include expanding football fall camp rosters to 120, allowing more OVs in baseball and football, expanding the size of the baseball roster, and frmally extending the waiver on initial counters for football for another season (was initially a one year trial with an option on the second year) - however there was legislation proposed to make this permanent.
