Nebraska fires Scott Frost 🌽 🥃🤺

Frost playcalling in the bounce house >Gus
You really want to try on-side kicks with an 11 point lead...

The reason why he is being ousted at Nebraska comes down to his offensive playcalling. Not an opinion...

If comparing, Gus has been WAY more successful.

The problem with the UCF fan-base in general is a habit where we immediately look to greener-grass after a hiccup.

My suggestion (not telling people what to do) is to wait how things play-out with FAU. If things go south with FAU (similar QB to Cunningham) that is when I may start to have questions.

Historical comparison:

UCF went to a Fiesta bowl 2013/14 and crushed Baylor after obtaining the nickname "Cardiac Knights" after dropping a game to South Carolina, and having a few close calls, namely Memphis, Temple and SMU.

i wouldn't find that funny. he would turn the cows around. i hate how some of you laugh at frost's failures at nebraska (and they are spectacular), but don't realize we have a dud on our hands as well.
It’s funny bc he isn’t dumb enough to make that mistake.

Gus has been more than 10x more successful at offense than Scott Frost over the same amount of time...if you are comparing body of work such as wins, point scored, total yards, etc. That's not opinion.

Does Malzahn's success particularly the ones from 10 years ago at Auburn have more value than the success Frost had at UCF?

Until Malzahn delivers on the field, all he has done has recruited well. Which could be said for many P5 programs that are filled with 4 and 5 stars but have little to no hardware.

Gus has had a winning season every year that Frost has been at Nebraska.

He was fired at Auburn after a 9-win season.

Gus managed a badly-battered UCF team to a bowl game with a meaningful win.

Frost did nothing.

Again, Gus has been 10x more successful over the same amount of time, RECENTLY, as Frost.

That's not opinion. My delineation for comparison is immediate, not 10 years ago.

And how has Gus offense done at UCF compared to Frost?
Frost's first year was a losing season. Gus' first season at UCF was not.

Frost's second season was stellar....and PLAYED GUS in a NYE6 bowl. So those are comparable +/- a win.

Frost's following season with comparable recruiting? Bad.

Gus for same stretch of time? MUCH better in comparison. All winning seasons...how much pudding for proof do you need?

NOW, if Gus loses more games he should have won with a stable of talent? That's when you pull out pitchforks.

I don't care what Frost did at UCF 5 years ago. He obviously cannot win under the pressures Gus had, excluding the Peach Bowl head-to-head.

Gus may work out but it is about what they do AT UCF not Auburn and Nebraska

Then the comparison after 15 games is obvious. If you want to look at "While at UCF"....as though the letters add magic value to a coach.

Gus is in the lead over the same amount of games in his tenure as Frost.

Frost's first season was 6-7, Gus? 9-4

Second season at this point? Ha...both have wins over SC State.

If this was week 3 2017? Frost is 8-7.

Week 3, Gus second year at UCF? Gus is 10-5. I find the push for Frost largely emotionally-guided.

Addendum:

I still believe the undefeated season was a star-alignment where a combination of a NEW head coach's will to prove his worth combined perfectly with athletes that wanted to prove themselves. It was a perfect combination that rarely occurs...with recruits from GOL.

Many of you use context for argument, single events, single games, etc.

The overall body of work for Gus in the same amount of games as Frost in 2nd year at THIS point is no comparison.

That undefeated season also skewed many fans' expectations.

Many of you have forgotten how close 2013 came to being derailed...came down to miraculus plays at the end of games....same with Frost in 17. Memphis? USF game of lore?

Names for Nebraska, WHO really cares outside of the tiny circle of Nebraska?
It is National news.
Many care. Nebraska is still a major name in CFB, even in defeat.
Scott Frost failed in an historical fashion, and will go down as the losingest coach in a proud program’s history.

I have a hunch, Frost threw the GA Southern game and tried to for the UND game.

If Scott knew he was going to get fired, it's in his interest to get fired before 10/01 right?

How do you get fired? Lose often and lose badly.

He purposely loses at his Alma mater that his family has a long history with?

On top of that, if it's proven he could be blacklisted from ever coaching.

"You're giving me 17.5 million? Where's the door?" - Ed Orgeron

It was probably more amicable for both parties to do it now, than after the lesser payout...considering Frost was a major contributor in his youth to the stories of the program. Being of a business mind, this makes sense.

Nebraska loses more games now? No more blame on Frost, he gets his money to walk with less depression.

He threw the game his mother was honored at pre-game?
That is as silly as you guys calling yourselves National Champs in 2017.

Neither happened.

Yeah, it really doesn't matter what any UCF fan or opponent fan believes.

It only matters what the official record-holding authority believes and observes in regards to selectors, and remembering what national selectors actually select. They often align with CFP, but they don't have to.

Of all the forms of Malicious Compliance (UCF broke no rule), UCF wins outright. It underscored the ignorance of many fans of FBS post-season (they still continue to out themselves)...and angered them too. Punk-rock as hell.

I come in peace…

How much of the success Frost had at UCF was his coaching rather than Milton’s freakish talent? I watched a lot of your games and felt Milton was a once in a generation talent at QB. Not only in terms of his athletic ability but also his leadership. That kid was amazing to watch. Curious if you all think Frost and Co wouldve gone unbeaten without Milton. I think Milton was the reason Frost got paid.

Obviously not when he began his tenure as a Nebraska HC.

But everyone saw the writing on the wall after he lost to Northwestern. His time was done.

I would *not try* at a game for 7.5 mil, don't give a crap who's being honored. I'm not saying he did this, I'm just speculating.
