I was just pulled over on 417 SB in Lake Nona. I was going 60 in a 65 mph zone and the cop cited me for blocking traffic.
Here are some facts. The cop was doing 55 -60 and it wasn’t safe for me to get in behind him so I drove within a car length or two next to him in the left lane. He never signaled to get over. The area is under construction there are barricades and barrels everywhere I assumed it was a construction zone based on his speed. So given these facts I didn’t speed up above the speed limit which is what would have been required to pass the right lane.
when the cop finally changed lanes I changed lanes immediately to the right lane and then he pulled me over.
once he pulled me over he stated he was doing it to prevent accidents - he pulled me over between construction barrels in an area that has maybe 3 feet of shoulder.
I definitely plan to fight this in court. What are my chances.
