We had a coach with a p4 roster that lost to navy twice and lost to cincy this year. A liberty roster losing to a conference foe isnt that far fetchedLiberty was paying him $4 Million a year, not exactly poor program status. He could be fine, but his rising status diminished this year.
This AD is in hot water in West Virginia. If I were them, I would put my pride aside and hire Rich Rod as the new coach.
I don’t know he’s won everywhere he’s been. Looks like an IU hire.NOT Chadwell.
might be for the bestI think he will be hired by West Virginia.
Look for Rich Rodriguez to make a return. That would actually be the smart move.I think he will be hired by West Virginia.
not sure about that ..isn’t he up there in age now ?Look for Rich Rodriguez to make a return. That would actually be the smart move.
Not happening West Virginia is either going Rich Rod or Jimbo..I think he will be hired by West Virginia.
UCF is not close (24 hours) to making a hire.So when they said monday, they meant monday 12/23?
I think we hired Dick Bupkis.So who did we end up hiring yesterday? All the fake "insiders" couldn't have been wrong
listening to that idiot is probably not a good ideaNot happening West Virginia is either going Rich Rod or Jimbo..
One of West Virginia's biggest football alums Pat Mcafee is pushing hard for a return by Rich Rod.
At this point i just dont want a re-tread. Gimme someone under 50 who is trying to build a programlistening to that idiot is probably not a good idea
Jimbo is the pro style version of Gus
Terry didn’t even put out a statement about Gus leaving ..weirdA theory to go along with the above about not announcing until after a championship game, That one recruit announced he is sticking with UCF but not signing on the first day (Wednesday). Sounds like they got the word who it is and it is code zero top secret...for-whatever-reason-that-is-beyond-me approach until after this past championship game weekend. Why they wouldn't put a statement out or any bread crumbs is beyond me.
What about all the noise surrounding Chadwell and UCF? My first choice is Sumrall, and Chadwell is second, but I’m ok with him if he ends up being our guy.Terry didn’t even put out a statement about Gus leaving ..weird
But we have to watch North Carolina. If they make a hire announcement soon and it is still crickets out of UCF then Sumrall may be the guy
You guys will regret a P4 coach. That's what we had. Go big like a real P4 school, not some Tulane shit hire.What about all the noise surrounding Chadwell and UCF? My first choice is Sumrall, and Chadwell is second, but I’m ok with him if he ends up being our guy.
Lol. Not even close…UCF has a guy in mind and it’s not them. You kids need to realize that UCF doesn’t have enough money to compete with another P4 program for a head coach…simple as that.Media consultant Jim Williams shared two intriguing top targets for UCF in their search for Gus Malzahn’s Knights head football coaching replacement after the 59-year-old left Orlando for FSU’s offensive coordinator position: ESPN analyst and longtime SEC coaching veteran Dan Mullen and current Tulane head coach Jon Sumrall.

I don’t see any way that they hire Mullen. The guy hates recruiting for one thing and that would be the only reason to expedite his hiring, and I don’t think his heart would be into it. I don’t see this happening at all. obviously he is better than Gus but we’re looking for more than that.Lol. Not even close…UCF has a guy in mind and it’s not them.
Checked his not active Twitter account and his last post was a retweet about Hitt and it got mem Williams
@JWMediaDC
Sources from LA tell me Scott Frost is interested in going back to Orlando to coach
@UCF_Football
more to come
OC possible the longer this goesJust came up in a google search for the past hour. I don't really count on any of that to be true. Just speculation.
I don't even have a twitter/X account. Nor would I ever have one.
I guess we go into Wednesday with more guessing games. I'm thinking it will be a coach in the this weekend championship games. But, I have no sources, just gut feelings. And, right now full of beer, so don't trust my gut right now.
No. He’s not the guy.Imagine if we get Will Stein the OC for Oregon and DG somehow is able to find another year of eligibility hiding in one of the socks that he sold and transfers for the 27th time and comes back here
I’ve thought of him given the Heupel-UCF connections. Seems like the fan base isn’t too happy with him this season because of the regression of the offense with a freshman qbThis is the guy to watch…shouldn’t even tell you people anything since you are all always trying to crap on me.

watched a few Tennessee games and it seems Nico had some deep shot opportunities but wouldn’t let it fly, seems to get rattled more on the road compared to their previous QB. But he is still a redshirt freshmanI’ve thought of him given the Heupel-UCF connections. UCF is not Alabama my man. To be a “CEO” you have to be a top HC (top 10). You also need plenty of money for a top OC and DC…you need top position coaches, plenty of recruiting staffers and plenty off the field coaches.I'm torn between a HC that understands the current college landscape and knows he has to be CEO versus an OC who can reenergize the offense.
