New Transfer Portal thread

Figured I would start a new thread about the portal. It seems like a lot of the portal post wind up on the recruiting thread or the DG one or the remaining QB’s one.

DG ain’t coming back and we already got a QB so we can probably let those threads sink to the bottom of the page.

2 LB’s, 1 TE and an OL just hit the portal from Alabama. Wonder if Gus recruited any of these guys?? All positions of need for us.

With school already starting I would think that it is now or never to get these guys in for the spring semester right?
So we may see a flurry (or not) in the next few days. After that we then move to guys enrolling in the fall.
I know we got Big Kat and Armstrong around March or so last year after Spring practice.

USC has him now listed as 6'4" 245 now. What's the word on any of the other guys we already have outside of Alec? Jordan Davis? We'll need some depth there with a couple of outgoing seniors and the transfer.

Seems like the trend for the guys with 1-2 years left is to get closer to home. Here is a 3 year starter in the SEC from South Florida…has 2 years left.

Just saw this so probably rules us out, don’t think TE is going to be a high volume pass catcher in Gus offense.
I had high hopes for Jordan Davis coming out of high school even though he had a knee injury. 2 years removed from high school now and listed at 6’4 245, hopefully he can make a big leap this spring/summer and push for playing time.

#UCF has landed a commitment from Virginia offensive tackle Grad transfer Ryan Swoboda. Ryan is coming home being from Clermont, FL. He only has 1 year of eligibility. Also Ryan is a BIG Man at 6-foot-10, 325-pound??

Pure speculation here but it would make sense that we backed off Boobie if we knew we had a bigger fish on the line like a Kobe Hudson.
