New Van Halen

Just got around to watching the Kimmel appearance on youtube. Eddie has never sounded better. Dave has never sounded worse. He can't even sing the songs. Out of shape. Voice is like a rake on a chalfboard. Just awful. Still the jiggy arsehole he always was. Sammy was so much better.

I doubt they will even make it half way through the tour before the Halen's can't take Dave's nonsense anymore - even if it means losing a phat paycheck

Believe that was the same review the last time Van Halen come to the Amway Center a year or two ago...thought maybe their show was cut-off halfway thru because Dave was so bad (and/or drunk/stoned).

Its kind of ironic that one of the best concerts I ever saw was Van Halen and the Rollings Stones back in the old T-Bowl and both of those groups are still touring today.

I'm choosing to remember how good they once were...not what they are like now.

It was the same thing for Motley Crue's last (and final) tour: Vince Neil could barely sing or make it through an entire set without sounding like he's about to pass out.

I would ask these aging bands to stop touring but there are still people putting down absurd money to see old men pretend like they're not old.

What's the most sad is to see Eddie pretend he's getting along with Dave. He must have snorted away all the early VH money from back in the day and is broke and desperate. All you need is to watch one of the old interviews on youtube to see what an arsehole both Eddie and Alex think Dave is.

On vocals, Eddie/Wolfie and the two guys they got offstage behind the curtain singing are basically carrying Dave. What an embarrassment for VH.

I flipped on a few tracks on Rhapsody. DLR sounds like pure shit. I'd demand a refund if I went to this concert.
