NIT games on tonight. If UCF wins (please dear bball gawds) they would play Richmond/TCU.

4 seed TCU (Big12) knocked out 1 seed Iowa (Big Ten) on Sunday. If we win tomorrow, UCF (and TCU if it wins) would be the highest seeds remaining. One through 3 seeds we'd never have to face include good to great P5 school Syracuse, Cal, Indiana, Georgia, Utah, Alabama, and Clemson!

Tonight, TCU is favored by 8 over Richmond, and Ole Miss by 5.5 over Georgia Tech. Tomorrow night, UT Arlington is favored by 6.5 over Cal State Bakersfield, and we're favored by 3.5 over 2 seed Illinois

We want Richmond. I want nothing to do with TCU.
It'd be worth it to see them deer in the headlights walking down Broadway. Then again, they can always see a Disney play if the Rockettes are to provocative for them.

If we get past IL, TCU will be very tough game. We will certainly be the underdog no question.

If UCF make it to the finals, it will be the first time we've played a team from the dominant basketball conferences that get most NCAA tournament at-large invitations: P5 + Big East. We played Miss. St. and Villanova back in the November tournament in Charleston, and the other 4 conferences during the NIT (Colorado from PAC12, Illinois from Big Ten, TCU from Georgia Tech from ACC (most likely to beat CSU Bakersfield).

Don't forget GaTech has Coach Pastner! Old time memphis foe. I hope our season continues into the final (knock on wood).

Yeah, TCU and Georgia Tech, like Illinois and ISU were all "bubble" schools, and each would have been seeded 10 or 11 in the NCAA tournament. So UCF's list of opponents is like playing the alternate reality for the NCAA tournament.

And, all with a chip on their shoulder...and, There is little ole' UCF playing the Cinderella team that no one is talking about. Even on the national sports talk, nada. Listening to Sirius/XM college radio they were raving about how good Illinois new coach gonna be. Wanting for him to show up and say he is coaching pre-game (they were joking). Nothing about Johnny Dawkins or mention of UCF other than a "Central Florida". Whatev...hoping we can make final four. Good exposure! Go knights !
