I find it abhorrent that Trump used his position of power to endanger his secret service team and everyone at Walter Reed by pulling the foolhardy stunt of going on a car ride to wave at his supporters. WTF?
How many Covid patients would have given anything to see their loved one while they were suffering from this disease isolated and alone in a hospital room? Some died without ever getting a chance to say good-bye. Yet this blowhard just HAD to get outside, Covid protocols be damned -- and used his bully pulpit to do it.
All for the sake of image. They are expendable, as long as he looks good.
Contrast that stunt with all the dying Covid patients over the course of this pandemic who desperately wished to see their families one last time but had to be kept isolated and alone.
Agreed. The fact that Trump would sign an executive order that keeps people from seeing their dying loved ones makes me want to punch him in the face. Thousands of elderly people died alone due to measures taken by Trump to reduce the spread of the virus, which for me is a bridge too far.
He is going to be surrounded by doctors 24/7 at the White House. He is leaving because he wants to leave, not because they want him to leave. But it isnt like one of us leaving a hospital and just going home, he is going to be surrounded by doctors and nurses.
All of his doctors are military and have to follow his orders as CIC. Nothing but a dog and pony show.
I think he does have it but what you said is important. This isnt a normal doctor/patient relationship. Trump is literally their boss. It is interesting how they give out some information, but when asked about other information they stand behind HIPAA, which means that Trump hasnt given them permission to publicly disclose all of the information.
