Remind me. How many Republicans voted on the funding bill that just gave $300+ million to police departments?

How many cities are cutting funding? The top two finishers in the NYC mayoral race did not run on the defund platform. Stop creating fake boogeymen.

Which of those cities actually cut funding? How many of those that cut funding are putting the cut funds in alternative policing methods?

I understand reactionary conservatism needs a boogeyman to drive your voters to the polls, but this is pathetic.

A 'police state' cannot exist without the police, especially civilian. To use the national guard is asking for a far, far worse result.

It's all lip service at this point. And 'The Squad' isn't the Democratic party, just like Trump isn't the Republican Party ... or the Jan 6th people.

You really have no idea what a police state is if you think civilian police creat that state. Extending the jurisdiction of the Capitol Police is moving far more towards a police state than any municipal civilian law enforcement agency can ever achieve.

You really have no idea what a police state is if you think civilian police creat that state. Extending the jurisdiction of the Capitol Police is moving far more towards a police state than any municipal civilian law enforcement agency can ever achieve.

The politicians create the laws that turn civilians into criminals. We've been doing that for the past 25-30 years.
