it was a mistake bc of how Florida reports where they average Fri-Sun that caused the confusion . If the Florida Department of Health would just report daily till numbers are low again this wouldn’t happen. Monday-Thursday are usually the highest reporting days .

it was pretty immature for a State’s Department of Health account to shit post on Twitter like a 12 year old

Florida doesn’t report cases daily. Somebody checked the wrong box.
Yes they do, to the CDC.

But after the CDC debacle, Florida violated their agreement with the CDC and released the numbers publicly.

I don't think people realize the details on this.

Ummm, the US Media forced it.

And Florida resisted posting the numbers, waiting for the CDC to correct them, before they finally just did.

The CDC screwed up and the US Media had a field day. Very few corrections in the US Media.

not everything is a conspiracy, hospitals tell the story … goodness we had a poster die that was 38 and another in his 30s hospitalized and you are still with this bs

the cdc wants this over more than anyone

The CDC is being controlled by politicians. That's why there is no consensus and even open rebellion, with flip-flops.

The NIH is not. The FDA is not (other than maybe expedited approvals lacking data).

I cannot wait for the 're-vaccination' debate, because 'schedule' isn't regulated.

That's why we have combinational vaccines that both the FDA and NIH have never recommended, and even recommend be given at different times, and in different arms.

BIG FREAKING DEAL.

It looks like they divided something like 52,000 cases over 2 days (26,000/day) instead of dividing by 3 days (14,000 cases)

Humm....at the same time the moron in the White House takes jabs at DeSantis and the call for masking again in Florida is when they accidentally inflate the Florida numbers.

This is a shot at DeSantis by the political group of the cdc. We can just make up numbers to make you look bad.
DeSantis' political mistake was pointing out the clusters of spread among and rate of unvaccinated migrants. It was true (over 20% positive rate in spot checks), but not politically tenable to point out, let alone the context would go ignored.

It would be 17,333 cases. It’s clear this is a CDC conspiracy.
No, just Presidential and US Media exploitism after CDC laziness. And retraction are hardly found outside the CDC itself.

This was really bad. It wouldn't defend it.

Years from now, perhaps not that long, we will look at 10 August 2021 as a red letter date in the history of mankind-- one in which the rogue CDC had the audacity to combine incorrectly, Florida's positive COVID cases. I really don't want to think of what the future looks like from here moving forward. Congress needs to investigate this immediately and punish these pieces of shit to the fullest extent of the law.

Why you make a joke, the spineless politicians used the bogus cdc data to give them ammunition for more mandates.
the numbers given were still awful and way above what is considered community spread so you are just whining for the sake of whining . this ‘rooting for the virus for control ‘ is so out of touch of what the administration wants : they want in person school not disrupted anywhere and for the economic numbers to keep humming along. having unvaccinated maskless outbreaks at schools increases the risk to threaten both

oh please. you and all your radical buddies were throwing tantrums and "fact-checking" President Trump if he wasn't 100% perfect down to the decimal over data.

suddenly, mistakes that lead to stolen elections and freedoms taken away just silly little mistakes you don't want anyone to question or dwell on.

You still team kraken? Don’t go the way of SDK, get the vaccine.

Rudy Giuliani is on Cameo , you sign up yet to get your fix?

Be honest that you're not disappointed that getting vaccinated doesn't stop the transfer and now only 39-43% effective.
The transfer? It’s much more effective than that at actually preventing symptoms. So I could transfer to an unvaccinated chud and they have a serious case? Oh well at this point I guess. I probably already did. Wouldn’t know. Don’t care anymore.

Not true...two studies now showing it is only 39-43% effective from symptomatic China virus. So watch you're movements around town. The original reports it was 95% effective from symptomatic China virus.

And you want to kill an unvaccinated minority? Shame on you.
Don’t want to kill anybody. But I’m calling it over for me. I got the vaccine so I don’t give a shit about any potential passport. I’ll let you know how it turns out.

Is it waning immunity from the vaccine or the variants? How will we ever know? At this point it seems predictable that September and October and probably going to be pretty bad here, since we have tracked pretty close to Israel.

That article doesnt say the vaccine is waning. It says cases are up, but it also says only about 58% of people are fully vaccinated, and it doesnt distinguish betweened vaxxed and unvaxxed people catching it, or if vaxxed are being hospitalized and dying.

The Mayo study covered this.

The Mayo study covered this.

The Mayo study also says this:
There has been no data so far that at has found either vaccine's protection against severe disease and death is significantly less against Delta, and the study notes that there doesn't appear to be much of a difference in complications stemming from breakthrough infections based on which vaccine someone got

Basically it just shows the vaccines (mostly Pfizer) doesnt stop you from catching it as much, but still appears to prevent serious illness or death. I wouldnt really call that waning.

Ha, I actually watched a lot of that last night. Those people are nuts. The dude in the black shirt does this shit all over the state for some backwoods political group, he doesnt even have kids. And of course Clay Travis had to show up to pretend he is a super conservative.

Personally I do think that's the case, but how can we know if it's the vaccine preventing deaths or just the Delta variant not being as lethal? Is it a combination of both?

We know Delta is more lethal, or at least severe, due to the unvaxxed tending to being hit harder.

Pfizer was also the first vaccine with the EUA and the majority of early vaccine recipients got that vaccine. Starting 9 months ago.

Thats true. I also just read they already have a booster specifically for the delta variant, and can have it on the market within 100 days. At this point I am not concerned about the vaccines.

Do we know the percentages of people that are vaccinated vs unvaccinated getting symptoms or dying, along with the percentages of the cases that are the Delta variant?

That's my entire issue with this whole thing. Without actual reported numbers all we have to go by is assumptions on 2 or 3 different variables.

We just don’t know…
