Even though Milton has been far from accurate the past few games, it's the RUNNING game that doomed us the last few games and that MUST improve in 2017

We were held to 64 yards vs USF which was there best this year by far. Florida State rushed for 460 yards against them.

We had 88 yards vs. Tulsa who has one of the worst defenses in college football

On the flip side, we gave up 350 yards rushing in each game!

So..., if you need to run the ball and stop the run to win, UCF has been outrushed approximately 700 to 152 in 2 games!!

That's horrible since we rushed for at or above 200 yards in our first 3 games

If this team can't run for 200-250 yards per game, it's not going to be competitive.

Also, I don't care how tired the defense is. That's too many rushing yards given up. USF had mutiple long runs when we weren't tired. Especially Flower's 62 yard TD run and Mack's 43 yarder.

The defense did not end the year strongly (especially the D-line), so let's not be fooled.

Any idea why Dontravius Wilson didn't get many touches? Isn't he our best downhill RB?

D. Wilson isn't hurt. Defintly should be getting more touches. Him and Killins are our most effective backs. I love hamilton but he fumbles to much and his field vision is suspect.

It's kinda like the QB milton situation. Scott literally seems not interesTed in playing better players. D. Wilson is hands down better. Also what else does Killins have to prove to get more touches.

Why was the 3rd stringer Taj playing more? Wilson has proven to be a better runner and receiver.

Frost said he was bringing a running offense more than a passing offense at the beginning of the season. After the first three games, that ended.

If you are a new coach trying to build a new program and attract recruits with the promise that you will play new recruits you do what Frost has done. GOL did the same thing. Yes, it can be frustrating at the start of new program in close games.

We did meet our realistic goals going into this season. 1. Learn the offense and run it at the speed it was meant to be run. 2. Win some games and compete close enough to win in all AAC conference games.

Let's get some more practice and win our sub-par bowl game so next season we will be much improved.

You can't blame the running game totally. Teams have just figured out you don't really need to cover anybody more than 15 yds down the field so they are just crowding the box. Milton is little-to-no threat. That's where a lot of our rushing woes are starting. That and our OL still stinks but I think right now it is more the lack of any passing game.

Killins isn't going to get more touches unless they can get the ball to him in space. He's not a true running back because he is too small. A 160 pound back isn't going to break a lot of tackles so you can't run him up the middle. Hamilton should be a great runningback with his speed and size, but I don't think the zone read utilizes size very well.

Like I said before season started, new coaches usually play the players they recruited unless the team is real good. We aren't real good so he is playing the young guys for recruiting purposes and getting ready for the ext few years. No need to be loyal to this years seniors.

Happy hands your absolutley right about killins in space. When we can get him a QB that can accurately get him the ball in space. look out! I would love to see him playing slot.

From Sept 19:"We’re gonna play whichever player gives us the best chance to win. Sometimes that has to do with health, sometimes it’s performance. Whatever it is, we’re excited to have all our quarterbacks up and completely healthy," Frost said Monday afternoon. "But I think McKenzie gives us the best chance to win this week."

In Trump's best Debate voice: "WRONG"

This is just a bizarre statement. To even think that this could remotely be true does not make sense. There is obviously a reason he is playing the players he does.

Well the user is named "Special." Perhaps it's for a reason.

These next couple of years we really need a field general for QB. They need to control the offense by moving the chains and being efficient. Milton will either learn that or get beat out by someone who does. We don't need a home run threat for QB, just serviceable.

In addition, we've got a lot of first time lead coaches, they are learning as well as the players so the adjustment is going to be even longer.

Let's hope they recruit well enough in the areas of need and learn what they need to change during a game and make better decisions moving forward.

Actually, in this offense, you kind of do need a home run threat at qb. If he is no threat to run you take away a good percentage of the options. If he can't get the ball downfield you have a problem with teams crowding the box This year Milton wasn't really a running threat or a passing threat.

Another big problem is that we are wasting, pissing off and breaking the ribs of all this amazing WR and TE talent.

What a waste!!!

There's so more to it than that. Why are we running Killins up the middle in 3rd and 2? That play never had a chance. Drive over.
Killins is a buck 60, 160 lbs. that doesn't make sense to run him for 2 yards up the middle. Where's our power runner? 230lbs, 220lbs? :)
