*** Official Stanford Score Prediction Thread ***

I'm going to go off the deep end this time.

UCF 23
Stanford 15

Stanford scores first and goes up 6-0. But UCF gets its first TD, going up 7-6 and never trailing again. It's 14-9 at half-time and UCF's defense manages to keep Stanford out of the endzone.

UCF grinds it out all game, keeping its D rested, and the front 7 continually win the field position game in UCF's favor. UCF's running game doesn't break free, but averages 4 yards/carry, enough to win.

UCF's D gets 2 picks in the 2nd half, thanx to Stanford trying to air it out, including one sealing the win on the final drive. Holman isn't flawless, no picks, but it does almost throw 2 that are dropped by defenders.

Hahaha. Then you wake up. :). Can I have some of those drugs?

I hope everyone notes my very first statement ...

"I'm going to go off the deep end this time."

I predicted we'd struggle against FIU in the second half, after getting a sizeable lead. I just never expected to lose by a point, but I did predict it would be a single digit difference.

If our run blocking and running game doesn't get going against a stout, Sanford defense, then it could be very ugly for us.

But I guess ... I just have a lot of faith in our D. They really held their own, despite the lack of sacks, until they started getting tired because our offense wasn't producing. If our offense can produce, then we could win.

Hence why I jumped in the Kool-Aid. ;)

From what I've read, Stanford is very lean on dline depth. Combined with a young, inexperienced secondary, that spells trouble for them in the 4th quarter. If UCF can stay close through the first 3 quarters, it could be our game.
