Oil falls to negative $37 a barrel

Color me shocked that the same people who demanded a national lockdown and eradication of commerce are "shocked" to find that the demand for oil evaporated and are now using this to ding the President.

The same person they were demanding to shut down all commerce.

The OP is like a German train when it comes to hyper partisan lies and distortions.

Yes, when you're forcing business to close. Yeah I say they are responsible at least partially. There was going to be a drop in demand regardless, but not this bad.
Yeah, if 2 million Americans died like the initial projections I'm sure oil and the economy would have been fine.

No one attacked the president in this entire thread for oil dropping.

I brought up the fact that he did a premature victory lap on his "deal to save oil" but no one is blaming Trump you goober.

85 is alerted anytime a poster uses the terms “reporter”, “difficult question”, “rally”, “orange”, “failed”, etc. and has a precanned response in support of our supreme leader. Whether you were actually disparaging him or not is secondary. There’s too many threads to parse through to get 100% accuracy.

And you're triggered anytime someone reminds you that you are in fact, no a doctor.

Nope, OP wasn't even talking about Trump with this thread.

Yeah, I thought it was funny that Trump did a premature victory lap. Like when you claimed he solved the north korea problem. I'm pretty sure I could find a post of you lauding him for saving oil at that time too. That doesn't mean I'm blaming him for any of this.

Its not his fault, but hes going to be blamed.

No he's not. He might get blamed for testing and lack of preparedness in February which made everything worse but he won't get blamed for individual issues.
I'm talking about how the economy is going to tank. He'll get blamed for that, guaranteed.

Case in point. I made a post with some buzzwords and within 2 minutes he was triggered to respond. There has to be some sort of alarm going off in his phone. Didn’t tag him or quote him.

The buck stops somewhere doesn't It? If you're house burns down but you don't have insurance even though the fire wasn't you're fault your lack of preparedness was.

Yeah, and if one person or entity is going to get the blame it should be the FED. Trump is less complicit in this than Obama, Bush, or Clinton but because he's the head man now he'll be blamed. I guess some of it depends on a person's economic or political perspective when it comes to placing blame or praise but most people don't pay attention to things until something terrible happens and then point the finger.

He's been president for 80% of a full term. Anything that wasn't changed at this point is on him.

You can't unravel 40 years worth of mistakes in 3. Maybe could do it in 20 under good circumstances but not with a black swan event like this.

Hayek was right. You cant stop the free market, all you can do is hold it off for a little while.

I've said it for awhile now, our resident snowflake 85 would be the first to lick Trump's boots if he shot someone on 5th Ave in broad daylight.

Absolutely incapable of thinking for himself.

So you went from "no one is criticizing Trump here" to admitting that you actually were and it was extremely easy to see that.

Like 4 months ago you clowns were still claiming that the good economy was entirely due to Obama. He was 80% through a full term and still not able to take credit according to you.

Hilarious.

Well yeah, he didn't turn off Obama's economy machine.

I should clarify. I am not criticizing Trump for the price of oil, which is the topic of this thread. I retain the right to criticize Trump for other topics, because he's still an idiot even if the fall of oil isn't his fault.

That is debatable. Doubling-down on tax cuts, and demanding rate cuts prior to this entire fiasco, are just two reasons why. Trump opened the floodgates even more.

He is dumber than a bag of dogshit, and has emotional control worse than Mike Tyson.

Can't say that I understood why he wanted rate cuts so I'll agree there. The tax cuts were extremely minor in the grand scheme of things, like complaining about a mosquito bite on your arm after a wolf tore your leg off. 2 trillion in new publicly secured debt compared to over 100 trillion in derivatives that we've assumed by default isn't that big of a deal.

So basically I was right. You made this thread as just another bitchfest about Trump, as evidenced by your 3rd post in the thread.

We we're talking oil and the economy until your feelings got hurt because someone made fun of the man you love.

At the end of June futures ill bet we see -80 bucks for a couple of days. It'll be low volume, but lower price than we just saw.

Fauci said Americans don’t need to change their lifestyles drastically and can go to the movies on February 29th. Just stop the lies

Like most things I ignored what you had to say about the economy or business since you're so frequently wrong. You asserted that we needed to pre-emptively build a "safety net" that was somehow supposed to address 30M people losing their job over the course of 2 weeks thanks to a once in a century Black Swan pandemic event.

You want to build normalized policy based upon this. I mean......lulz.

Of course, that comment was nothing but a thinly veiled "Muh Bernie Socialism bro!" insertion but still, it's hilariously absurd.
