So it's common knowledge that OK ST changed their entire season (and especially their running attack) when they pivoted from zone blocking to gap blocking early in the season. So do you think that our Coaches spent the week preparing for (and scheming against) one of the best gap blocking teams in the country and that we'll surprise everyone? Or will we come in with our usual 4-2 and expect the guys to suddenly protect the edge, shed blocks, plug up the middle and tackle crisply (our entire D)? Which do you think? We'll learn the answer on Saturday.

Yes

Yes…what??? UCF is almost dead last against the run…130/133 teams. Soft like old head Malhazan.

Oh yeah…expect old boy to emerge locking hands with the players…sweet. He’s an old coach getting paid millions while players are not getting their NIL money.

Here comes Addison Williams, Gus Malhazan and the UCF defense…OKU is soooooooooooooooooo scared.

It’s gonna be a run centric game methinks. It’s an interesting matchup.

UCF ranks 127th of 130 Football Bowl Subdivision teams in run defense, allowing 211.8 yards per game (5.04 per carry). Oklahoma State has not fared much better, tied for 95th at 167.9 per game (4.56 per carry).

Yep, odds are no changes, limited preparation and just hope for the best....hope I'm wrong.
As much as it pains me to reference a former uat player, he spells it out in black and white.

Common sense says we should be run heavy. Inexplicably, in the 3rd quarter, while still being a close game, we will begin to pass most downs. Calling it now.

Gus is 58 . Mike Gundy is 56. Seems to me based on your assessment of age , they are both Olde. 😆

I hope he's right....but Gundy seems to be confident that he knows what Gus will do and will prepare for it. And if Gus has done any preparation, he knows exactly what OK ST will do and should have our D prepared. So, which Coach will prepare their team to stop the run? We'll see.

I don’t think our defense gets gashed because of game plan or being in wrong position to make plays. They just don’t make them all the time.
