I did a quick calculation and it looks like George is 5 games back of our all-time winningest coach. I wonder how much that plays into it? Probably thought he could take the title this year and retire. Now it looks like he will have to coach 3 or 4 more years!

He doesn't care. His legacy isn't dependent on whether he ends up with more wins the Gene McDowell.
