The UCF Knights drop their fifth conference game in the Big 12 with a road loss to Arizona State. Despite a promising opening drive by the offense, and some big third down throws by QB Dylan Rizk, timely execution gaffes and mistakes were too much to overcome. Head Coach Gus Malzahn acknowledged after the game that his team needs to continue to get better and eliminate the negative plays, including penalties.

Arizona State Head Coach Kenny Dillingham felt lucky to get out with a win, and attributes the 14 points scored by defense and special teams as the key to their win.
