So I assume you must be ok with letting boys compete in girls sports.Good grief. Yeah, The Most Important Issue Facing American Education Today is...(drumroll)..transgendered girls competing in sports. 🤪
You assume wrong. As with everything, there are going to be exceptions to the rule. But I seriously doubt most trangendered girls want to draw attention to themselves by competing in high school athletics. So I assume you must be ok with letting boys compete in girls sports.
It's not stupid. Anybody that thinks it is fair to women to have men compete in their sports is unfit to serve in a cabinet position. It's a batshit crazy idea that hurts far more people than it helps. This guy should be ridiculed for being a moron. You assume wrong. As with everything, there are going to be exceptions to the rule. But I seriously doubt most trangendered girls want to draw attention to themselves by competing in high school athletics.
IMHO, this is a stupid issue to bring up in Secretary of Education hearings. It's entirely designed to work up all the nation's transphobes.
You really think a teenage boy is going to 'dress up like a girl' IN HIGH SCHOOL FOR GOODNESS SAKES for a possible college scholarship? It is a real issue. Talking about scholarships. You can't have "exceptions to the rules" with anything government. Either you allow or don't. What level of transgender are you ok with competing against girls? Just having long hair and calling yourself a girl enough? Curious where your line stands.
There's a Grand Canyon-wide difference between 'a boy dressing up as a girl for a scholie' and three Connecticut girls suing to ban trangendered athletes from competing. A transgendered girl would have to be really determined and emotionally tough (not easy for any 16-18 year old) to deal with all the hate and ridicule she would be subjecting herself to in order to compete. You're like 50 years away from High School. Yes...easily.
Hated is a pretty strong word. There's a Grand Canyon-wide difference between 'a boy dressing up as a girl for a scholie' and three Connecticut girls suing to ban trangendered athletes from competing. As the Connecticut case clearly illustrates, the quickest way for a transgendered girl to be universally hated is to compete in high school sports. In their case, families actually went to court to BAN them from competing! It doesn't get more personal than that.
I absolutely love when we’re told something won’t happen after it already has in multiple places. The Biden believes in the science of 72 genders. As for the idea it won't happen, it already has at the high school level.
It's not stupid.
As a matter of fact, I have talked at length with a transgendered child several times over the last 8 months.Yes, it is. It is also mean spirited and dickheaded.
Since not a single one of you assholes have ever talked to a transgendered child, have no idea what it is like to live in their shoes, and think you know everything, you can all politely go f*ck yourselves.
I would love to respond to this but this time I'll allow Crazyhole to explain it to you since he's talked 'at length' to a transgendered child 'several times over.'Hated is a pretty strong word.
If you believe that 'biological males' wearing wigs are involved in athletic competitions with biological females, you are either naive' or nuts. For your information, transgendered girls are involved in extensive hormone therapy involving estrogen and testosterone blockers.Biological males do not belong in athletic competition with biological females. Period. They have an insurmountable physical advantage that is unfair to ask a biological female to try to compete with.
Who's the one screaming like a child? Boo-hoo, my kid is competing against a TRANSGENDERED girl, boo-hoo.Saying that doesn’t mean anyone hates them. This is the same attitude a child has when they’re told no. You don’t get to just scream that people hate you and are being mean just because you don’t get to run track against someone whose physiology puts them at a disadvantage.
OK. She doesn't feel like anyone hates her. She hates herself but doesn't understand why, because all of her friends and her mom are supportive. She feels guilty but can't explain why. She feels like she's being watched all the time. She doesn't know if she should shave her armpits and legs because that's not what a man does. She wishes she had a lower voice but still wants to be able to sing like the chick from Evanescence. She isn't attracted to boys or girls and that confuses her.I would love to respond to this but this time I'll allow Crazyhole to explain it to you since he's talked 'at length' to a transgendered child 'several times over.'

By the way, should women who've..ahem, enhanced...themselves with breast implants or nose jobs be barred from competing in beauty pageants?
Yeah, a tranny might have an 'unfair advantage' and we certainly would NEVER can't allow anything like THAT to happen!!!Maybe they need a sports category of "other" after men's and women's sports.
Maybe because the poor kid identifies as a man and people in his Mom's circle of friends stare at him funny and keep referring to him as "she." I understand reactions like that happen frequently to transgendered kids.OK. She doesn't feel like anyone hates her. She actually prefers that I call her Emily, but she wants to be Evan at school.Maybe because the poor kid identifies as a man and people in his Mom's circle of friends stare at him funny and keep referring to him as "she." I understand reactions like that happen frequently to transgendered kids.
Okie dokie. I would think that your interactions with him/her would give you a sense of how confusing, difficult, anxious, guilty, and lonely a transgendered kid feels. She actually prefers that I call her Emily, but she wants to be Evan at school.
If by "interesting" you mean "see how many of them commit suicide", then yeah.Okie dokie. I would think that your interactions with him/her would give you a sense of how confusing, difficult, anxious, guilty, and lonely a transgendered kid feels.
In the old days, these kids would learn early on that they needed to hide their true selves from the rest of the world. It will be interesting to follow this new generation of transgendered kids and see if 'coming out early' has made their lives easier or more difficult than their predecessors who were forced to hide behind a facade.
Hormones are not at all the only biological difference between males and females and to suggest that estrogen and testosterone-blockers create a level playing field is not supported by any evidence whatsoever.I would love to respond to this but this time I'll allow Crazyhole to explain it to you since he's talked 'at length' to a transgendered child 'several times over.'

As I pointed out above, find me a competition that is “fair.”Hormones are not at all the only biological difference between males and females and to suggest that estrogen and testosterone-blockers create a level playing field is not supported by any evidence whatsoever.

Do away with title 9 and just have sports, There will be almost no women getting schollies, and probably the same # of trans athletes as today. Would make the AD's job much easier when it comes to compliance. As I pointed out above, find me a competition that is “fair.”
Sorry, chemmies comment just set me off a little bit so I'm pretty pissed right now.
That will never fly with the feminist crowd. The question is how entertaining sorting the inequity activism out will be. Are they going to fight it out?Do away with title 9 and just have sports, There will be almost no women getting schollies, and probably the same # of trans athletes as today. Good grief. Clearly the comments here completely flew over your head.As far as trans they are already deeply depressed thinking changing their shell will change their lives. You might change the shell but biology is biology. Letting them compete with an ultra advantage isn't helping anyone except those cheating for an advantage.
I’m sure you think it’s only because people are mean to them. That may be the case for some, and that’s horrible but it’s an entirely incomplete and simplistic view.Keep in mind that children who identify as gay or trans are much, much, much, more likely to commit suicide.
I wonder why?
Hmmmm....so you're opining that the suicide rate for transgendered kids is increasing? If these kids were in the closet before, pray tell where are you getting your baseline statistic? So if the increased suicide rate within these groups is due to their social rejection, it should be coming down as their acceptance in society rises, no?
I’m saying there’s no evidence the rate of suicide is decreasing for gay and trans kids, while their acceptance in society clearly is improving.Hmmmm....so you're opining that the suicide rate for transgendered kids is increasing? Teen suicide has always been an issue. It's no surprise that the number has spiked over the last decade due to social media. This may come as a shock to some of you here in the WC, but online posters - particularly anonymous ones - have been known to be real dicks when it comes to how they treat other people. It's one thing if you are a well-adjusted adult, but imagine how much snide remarks hurt when you are a lonely, guilty, and very confused kid.
Transgendered kids have entered a 'brave' new world. Is 'coming out' and being able to be yourself more healthy for a trans person? I would certainly think so. But on the other hand, I take your 'acceptance in society is clearly improving' statement with a gain of salt.I’m saying there’s no evidence the rate of suicide is decreasing for gay and trans kids, while their acceptance in society clearly is improving.
