Only 34,000 tickets sold for FIU

Bunch of complainers, the lot of you! Just shirk your occupation, abandon your families, and get to BHNS whenever the networks can squeeze us in. It's not that hard.
Sincerely, your loving AD/HC -- GOL

Any guesses as to attendance?

Why does every post discussion have to degrade to a bunch of judgments on these sites?

My answer to your original question is 35K (additional 1,000 at game time) for all the reasons
that have already been given.

Next home game attendance (on a Saturday) will probably be close to the same number as tonight
because we will be playing Furman.

Furman is parents weekend and usually fills it up pretty nicely.

He's a Louisville fan that has been obsessed with us for years now. Don't even waste your time on him.

All I am trying to point out is that you can't have it both ways. You all advertise the enormous enrollment at UCF as a reason why a P5 conference would want UCF but this huge student body somehow can't get your stadium filled.

Except no one is saying UCF should be in a P5 because the huge enrollment translates into immediate incredible attendance numbers.

Large enrollment is more of a factor in future growth potential of the alumni base than it is about current attendance. Graduating twice or three times as many students as many P5 schools means an alumni base that will be attending, donating, and generally supporting an athletic department in ever-increasing numbers -- numbers that can match and eventually surpass many P5 schools. Add a P5 schedule, P5 money, and P5 media exposure to that mix and you've got what would in all likelihood be a thriving P5 program.

What a butt this guy is. Lousiville per-game attendance in 2009 (furthest back I could find a per-game breakdown):

Indiana State, 39,344
Pittsburgh, 39, 948
Southern Mississippi, 37,258
Arkansas State, 21,496
Syracuse, 33,223
Rutgers, 23,422

This is for a team that was in it's 5th year of being in a P5 league! Keep in mind the American lost its P5 status when UCF joined, so we have never had the luxury of being in a P5 league and drawing that competition to our stadium. Their stadium held 42,000 at the time. Pathetic if you ask me. I'd say 34,000 for a Thursday night game against pathetic CUSAA competition is pretty good considering you couldn't even get those numbers against some P5 schools when you had been in a P5 league for 5 years!

Wow...that is REALLY pathetic! Sultan has no business making but hurt comments about UCF's attendance.
