Was talking football to a coworker today and he brought up the question of if Oregon stumbles down the road this season after a 2-2 start, would Oregon come back after Frost to have him take over. I mean Oregon does have the money and recruit-ability, but I thought it was an interesting question. My coworker is a Nebraska Alum too so it was interesting to hear his take on all of it.

If Frost pulls a Tom Herman and wins the AAC and Cotton Bowl his first year then he could be gone. And if so I'll be happy that he paid us a visit and proved that 2013 wasn't a flash in the pan. It would send a signal to other up & coming coaches that they can win big at UCF and make a name for themselves.

Houston has done a great job of making smart hires after they get poached every few years. Briles, Sumlin, and now Herman. I would rather be like Houston than Cincy - holding onto Tuberville through a string of mediocre seasons.

Just think the experience Scott Frost is getting recruiting Florida. If he keeps winning he will be a hot commodity.

I've said this from the beginning. We're lucky he's lost 2. He'd be stupid to stay. Some enjoy the task of turnaround artist, others specialize in taking over established, high-pressure programs. Those are two distinct skill sets.

Most people have said our best case scenario is 7-5- I don't think that warrants Oregon or Nebraska poaching him yet. Tom Herman has lost 1 game his entire time at Houston thats why he's about to be poached by LSU.

Beating an FCS school and arguably the worst D1 school in the country in FIU doesnt warrant Oregon to come calling. I think he is doing a fine job and will do a fine job, but let's not act like he's already proven himself.

if you want to post Nebraska fan water cooler talk there won't be room on the board's server. They think he has a bunk bed set up in their Football Stadium waiting for his training wheels to be taken off.

there is no point in posting and worrying about stuff like this right now

I had the pleasure of meeting coach Frost' parents in church a few Sundays ago. They are happy that Scott is here and excited about his stay at UCF. The Dad was very upset about the Maryland loss :)

This question is way off base.

I think Frost was pleasantly surprised by the existing talent here but disappointed by the resistance among a few key players (resulting from the 0-12 season). He has no tolerance for damaged goods, and quickly replaced them with backups and frosh.

Don't think we would get Cotton Bowl with 2 losses already.

Who are these few key players that are resistant?
