Firstā¦I apologize in advance for not catching on and I know the Dungeon will let me know how much of an idiot I am šā¦but a couple of guys came into my local watering hole a few hours ago and ordered three beers. I thought they told the bartender to go ahead and pour the third (when she said sheād pour it when the third got there) and heād drink it when he got there. Fast forward a couple of hours and they have a couple of beersā¦cash out and leave. The third beer is still sitting there untouched. I turn to my buddy and say thatās weird that they would order a beer for someone not here and then he doesnāt show to have it. My buddy said the beer was for those that didnāt make it back and that he noticed the KIA (he thinks) jacket on one of the guys. So now I feel like an idiot for not hearing the full conversation and also for not catching on to the gear to recognize they were Veterans. I would have covered their tab as a small token of thanks for their sacrifice to our countryā¦so it got me thinkingā¦what other things could I be missing where Iād have the chance to thank a Veteran and missed it?
