We have a neighbor who always tries to start conversations from the other side of the privacy fence.
I've never seen his face, just his forehead since the fence is about 5'6" and he's probably 6' or so.
Maybe he's just lonely or something, I guess his wife died a few years before we moved in.
He's not boring to talk to, he said he's traveled the globe and learned a bunch from virtually, as he puts it, "every culture in existence." Claims he has a Ph.D in "cultural studies" focusing on dead languages or whatever. Probably from some small private school in the midwest or something.
While annoying, he does have this all-wise sage feeling to him and doles out advice and seemingly always knows just what to say to solve a problem. It's uncanny, really.
Anyway, how can I get him to stop talking to me?
